Tryout season is coming up quick! My feed is fille Tryout season is coming up quick! My feed is filled with callouts and tryout info, which is crazy to me since our basketball season isn’t over yet. 
.

Tryouts can be a stressful time for many, but with prepared you can go into tryouts confident and ready to crush it!
.

Even if you tryouts aren’t for another month or two, there are a few things you can start doing NOW to give yourself a leg up. 
1. Find out the skill requirements to make the team. If you need a tumbling skill and don’t have it yet, get enrolled in a class or (safely!) start working on it at home. 
2. Brush up on your basic technique. It doesn’t matter how great your tumbling is or how high your jumps are, sloppy motion technique will lose you easy points. Strong, sharp motions and jump technique will leave a great impression! 
3. Attend all open gyms and clinics. This shows your commitment to the team and is also a great time to work on skills and learn how the team does things, which is especially important if you are new to the team. As a returning member, it is a good time to show your leadership and help newbies.
